'I'm not sorry, Donald nah': SNL parodies Melania and Ivanka Trump with spoof Lemonade music video

In an increasingly embittered presidential race, which is arguably the most ferocious in recent history, Saturday Night Live provides a rare and welcome source of relief. While, Alec Baldwin’s identikit straw-coloured combover, bottom lipped sneer and stalking of Hilary Clinton, could be mistaken the real McCoy, Cecily Strong’s impersonation of the Donald’s wife Melania is equally as amusing.

Mr Trump's third wife has her share of the limelight on the show, being featured on her own vignette titled “Melania moments”. This week, rather than the usual segment, the Slovenian former model and businesswoman appeared in a spoof titled “Melaniade”.

The short film is a parody of Beyonce’s widely popular hit single “Sorry” from her Lemonade album and features parodies of Melania, daughters Ivanka and Tiffany, campaign manager Kellyanne Conway, and Apprentice contestant Omarosa.

In the black and white video, the group call out Mr Trump for relying on them to run to the rescue and just like Beyonce says Goodbye and declares they are finished with his nonsense. Fittingly, the “Becky with the good hair” line appropriately becomes “some guy with the weird hair”.

Taking on the role of Ivanka, Emily Blunt quips: "Daddy once tweeted sorry, I don't even think he means it".

Melania, who is played by Cecily Strong, adds: “Here lies my last nerve, Donald. Your beautiful dutiful Melania. I can’t take it anymore.”

She also takes a bat to a TV screen which reads “more accusers come forward” and features Baldwin’s Trump.

“Without us you wouldn’t be standing there,” she sings, alongside the other women. “You’d just be that guy with the weird hair.”
