Sir Keir Starmer refused to let GMB's Piers Morgan get to him while discussing the Government's handling of coronavirus on the show.
The Labour Party leader kept his cool while appearing on today's instalment of the ITV, despite host Piers Morgan's attempts to provoke him.
Sir Starmer, 57, spoke of the Government's 'poor handling' of the COVID-19 outbreak, claiming their message hasn't been clear enough.
“When Boris Johnson stands there and says, ‘I’m very proud of our record and how we’ve handled the pandemic’, I mean how do you stop laughing out loud in incredulity?” Piers asked the Labour leader.
But Sir Starmer had a pithy response, saying: "The reason I don’t laugh is because I think of the 65,000 people who have died of coronavirus and their families."

Continuing to shut the host's question down, he went on to say: "Pride is not something you would ever associate with what’s happened over the last three months.
"I think the Prime Minister has been asleep at the wheel. He’s been slow. The communication has been terrible.
“It began to break down frankly when Dominic Cummings put forward a ridiculous defence about what he’d done in the North East.”
Sir Starmer also went on to slam the PM's "total lack of planning" on the reopening of schools.
He said a task force should have been put together "two or three months ago" and a plan formed to utilise free public spaces such as libraries and community centres that remained shut during the pandemic.
"There was a total lack of planning by the Government." He said.
"From the day the schools were shut, it was obvious that work needed to start get them back open again."
It also didn't take long before he took aim at the Prime Minister and his government again, but this time for not appearing on Good Morning Britain.
Explaining his views, he said: “If you want to be a leader, you have to take responsibility and that’s where this Prime Minister really struggles.”
“I come on your show knowing you’re going to ask me questions that I take decisions - ours will take a view on them - but I’ve got the responsibility to come on and answer,” he continued.
Piers replied: “I agree and I don’t think any capable, smart politician needn't worry about coming on Good Morning Britain.”
