A mum from Partington has vowed to raise £9k in nine months by completing nine challenges for charity.
Anna-Marie Stocks, 50, has taken on the 999 charity challenge to raise money for Parkinson’s UK.
For nine months throughout 2022, Anna will complete nine challenges including a 50k walk, a half marathon, a marathon, skydiving, abseiling and the UK’s longest zipwire.

She will finish her challenge with the Edinburgh seven summits challenge in November.
Anna has decided to take on the 999 challenge in honour of her mum, Margaret Murray, who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2012.
In 2021, Margaret, who is 90, was moved into a residential home and because of this, Anna decided to raise money for Parkinson’s UK to celebrate her mum’s incredible life.
From celebrating her 65th birthday by jumping out of a plane to raising seven children, Anna decided that one sponsored event was not enough to celebrate her mum.
Instead, she settled on nine - one to represent every decade of her mother’s life.
She explained: “Most people think their mum is amazing but my mum has not only raised a big family, she’s also been a fearless inspiration to all her kids and grandkids, taking life by the scruff of the neck and getting up to real daredevil stuff.
“That’s why I had to go large or go home when it came to thinking up a fundraiser in her honour.
“For families like mine, finding effective treatments for conditions like Parkinson’s Disease is an emergency, so 999 seems appropriate.
“I’m not exactly a fitness fanatic, so I am a bit nervous, but one challenge for each decade of my mum’s life doesn’t even come close to telling her what an extraordinary person she is.
“I’m hoping that £9k is achievable over the nine months, and if people can’t spare any cash, perhaps they can at least give me some tips on how to avoid blisters!”
Anna will be joined on some of her challenges by family and friends.
Her husband, Mark, will join her for the 50k walk, meanwhile her daughter Rachael will join her for the Tough Mudder.
