'I'm not dying' Ozzy Osbourne assures fans as Nottingham date is postponed for a second time

Rock giant Ozzy Osbourne has been forced to cancel his date at Nottingham's Motorpoint Arena for a second time due to illness.

The 70-year-old has pulled all of his 2020 European tour dates due to an on-going problem with vertebrae in his neck.

In a video posted on Twitter, he said that the injury, caused by a fall earlier this year, was taking longer to heal than he and doctors expected.

"I'm not dying," he said.

"I am recovering. It's just taking a little bit longer than everyone thought it would."

He also complained of boredom waiting to get back to full fitness and thanked fans for their "patience and loyalty" saying he did not want to perform until "100% ready".

The former Black Sabbath frontman was due at the Motorpoint Arena in February of this year but postponed the show until January 31, 2020 under doctors' orders.

A new show date has yet to be announced but original tickets will remain valid. Full refunds are available from the point of purchase.

Although all European dates have been pulled, he is keeping North American tour dates that start in May on the calendar suggesting he will be fully recovered by then.

Ozzy last played the East Midlands at the 2018 Download Festival.
