Bristol Rovers legend Ian Holloway has revealed he is open to a move to a newly relegated League Two side.
The 56-year-old has been out of work since leaving QPR last year and has been linked with several jobs - including the Gas hotseat - in the months since.
Walsall are the latest club the Bristolian has been linked with, and he has not shied away from the speculation.
Speaking to the Express & Star, he said he wanted to emulate his experience at Blackpool, who were promoted to the Premier League under his tutelage.
“I want to get back to work but I don’t want it to be at a club where there is every chance I could be moved on after six or 12 months," he said.
“At the stage I’m at in my career, I’m looking for a project.
“I want to be at a club I can move forward. I want to develop young players – for me, it’s all about learning and teaching now.
“And I want to play in the way I played at Blackpool.
“That is what I want, it doesn’t matter about the level.
“It’s all about the project and making a football club better. That’s what I’m looking for and if Walsall think I can do that for them I’d be happy to speak to them.”
Holloway is already among the favourites to take over at Plymouth Argyle, who were relegated from League One alongside the Midlands club.

He led the Pilgrims to fourth in the Championship as manager.
However, his departure still leaves a bitter taste among certain factions of the Green Army as, with promotion to the Premier League a genuine prospect, he left the club for Leicester City in November 2007.
Holloway is still technically under contract at QPR having left the Championship club 12 months ago but his severance pay finishes at the end of May.
In his year out of the game Holloway has been employed as a pundit on Sky Sports and Talksport. He has also maintained a regular presence at the Memorial Stadium and was a guest of the club during the 1-0 Easter Monday defeat to Rochdale.
He added that he was enjoying his experience working for the media, which means his next job has to be the right one and an "exciting" project.
Holloway is currently at 16/1 to take over at the Bescom Stadium, while former Gas manager Darrell Clarke is at evens at the time of writing.
