A man has been charged after he allegedly attempted to drop eight tonnes of animal manure at the offices of Tasmanian politicians.
Police will allege the 51-year-old Bridgewater man attempted to unload the manure about 6:30am at the Executive Building in Hobart, where Premier Will Hodgman and other ministers have offices.
His quest was promptly intercepted by Tasmania Police who arrested him.
Police said the man "failed to comply with a police direction after he parked his truck of animal manure outside 15 Murray Street".
On Sunday night, the man indicated his intention in a social media post expressing his frustrations with Centrelink.
He wrote he had visited Centrelink and asked advice about working for himself and if "there was any grants from the Government to get me started", but to no avail.
He said he wanted to speak to the Premier about what he had "been through in the last three years".
"So in the morning I'm going to show them I'm not being treated like s**t anymore and I mean eight tonne of it. Stay tuned and I'm serious," he wrote.
He will appear in Hobart Magistrates Court on October 14.
