Ever wondered what happens when a pack of margarita-fueled women stroll straight from Chili’s to Marshalls? While even going into Marshalls sober is treading unknown waters, going drunk is a whole other ball game.
In a TikTok documenting their margaritas to Marshalls challenge, five women proudly announce their shopping budgets before entering… only to return looking sheepish and lugging huge paper bags. Every single one of them blew past their limit—some by a cute $10, others by a full $110. One “Wicked” Margarita and suddenly everyone thinks they’re Glinda on a shopping spree—floaty, fabulous, and fiscally irresponsible.
What are ‘Wicked’ Margaritas?
Used for promoting the new “Wicked: For Good” movie, Chili’s new margaritas are quickly becoming a fan favorite. To keep in line with the film, there are two margaritas to choose from: The Witches Brew Marg and The Good Witch Marg. On the website, it shares the ingredients for the colorful cocktails. The former is made with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Blue Curacao, Monin Granny Smith Apple, and house-made sour. The latter is made with Lunazul Blanco Tequila, Triple Sec, and Monin Dragonfruit. They even both bring tiny props, like a miniature broomstick and a miniature wand. Even better, each cocktail only costs $6. All the hype makes complete sense. Some are even willing to perform to get one for free.
The Chili’s to Marshalls Pipeline
Jazeira’s (@jarieza_xo) 50-second clip has already gained 4.6 million views in just four days. Who knew filming your friend group irresponsibly spending money would go viral? Now, it isn’t judgment on their fiscal habits, but more on how they thought they ever stood a chance.
The clip begins with friend number one: Evelyn. The video starts with her looking at the camera and declaring, “My name is Evelyn. I’m drunk from Chili’s and my budget is $50.” It then goes from friend to friend, all declaring their own budgets. “My name’s Mariah and my budget is $10. My name is Crystal and my budget is $20. My name is Mariana, my budget is $30. My name is Isabel, my budget is $10.”
Then the fun part comes: they all need to fess up to their actual expenditure. Evelyn goes first again and proudly shares her total for the night: $59.46. A little bit over but not overly so. Mariah then goes next and says, “My budget was $10 and I spent $44.40.” She looks away sheepishly while her friends laugh in the background.
Crystal shares she spent $30.98, almost $11 over budget. Isabel does the same and claims she spent $22. Lastly but not least, Mariana enters the frame. She starts, saying, “I said I was gonna spend 30 and I went over a 100.” Off camera, one of the friends asked, “What was your total?” and she responds, “$137. 34.” This is where the clip ends.

The Viewers Sympathize
With over 3,000 comments, most viewers are amused at the assumption that this situation could’ve gone differently. One viewer says, “Going to marshals with $10 budget is setting you up to fail lol.” Jazeria responds, “I can see that now, it was torture!”
Another viewer says, “The first mistake was getting a cart.” While another shares, “I knew the $10 budget was gonna be a fail.”
Other viewers sympathize with the friend group, saying the same happens to them–even with “Wicked” Margaritas. One viewer says, “I go with no budget and spend $300.”
Another admits, “137.34 is definitely me in the friend group.” Another says, “Yall are better than me I go in to just look and end spending $350.47.”
It seems no one can avoid the spending fever when at Marshall’s, sober or otherwise.
