'I'm done with this club, season is over' - These Arsenal fans stunned by Unai Emery statement

Unai Emery has been handed a vote of confidence by the Arsenal hierarchy.

Following a dreadful run of results, Raul Sanllehi and Vinai Venkatesham have finally broken their silence and issued a statement on the head coach's tenure at the club.

Arsenal were soundly beaten 2-0 by Leicester City on Saturday evening, making it no wins in the last four Premier League games.

The Gunners slipped to eight points adrift of the Champions League places as a result and head into another international break devoid of confidence.

There have been continuous questions over Emery's future at the club, with many Gunners supporters suggesting the time could be right to part ways.

The hashtag #EmeryOut has been trending on a number of occasions on social media already this season, but Emery is staying put.

In a staff meeting, the duo are reported to have said: "We are as disappointed as everyone else with both our results and performances at this stage of the season. We share the frustration with our fans, Unai, players and all our staff as they are not at the level we want or expect.

"Things need to improve to meet our objectives for the season, and we firmly believe Unai is the right man for the job, together with the backroom team we have in place. We are all working intensively behind the scenes to turn things around and are confident we will.

"We never take our fantastic support for granted. We hope we can all stick together and get behind the team in this challenging period, as together we are stronger."

But as far as social media is concerned, the fans are finding it difficult to get behind the team.

It looks as though the supporters are going to have to deal with it and see what happens next.
