Ever since seeing the movie The Stepford Wives, Monica Huldt says she knew she wanted her life to be a certain way.
She didn't want to focus on building a career, she wanted to be a housewife and take care of her husband.
And so that's exactly the life she has carved out for herself.
The 37-year-old who lives in Scottsdale, Arizona, has opened up about how she prides herself on putting her husband's (John) needs before her own and claims the secret to a happy love life is for men to be dominant and women to adopt an old-school domestic role around the home.
"I’ve never been a woman that has strived to have a huge career," she told Jam Press.
"I don’t want to work to be honest – I love being a housewife and taking care of my husband.
"Ever since I saw that movie The Stepford Wives, I knew I wanted my life to be exactly like that."
However, this attitude isn’t to everyone's taste – with men and women both having a problem with Monica’s approach to marriage.
She said: "One of my exes wasn't fond of that idea – so that's why he's now an ex.
"Women too will say I’m being crazy, or that I’m a disgrace to other women but I don't care – it's my life and I love it."
She continues to admit she doesn't think it's "degrading" to put her husband first as she believes men and women are "created differently" and she embraces that.
As well as being a housewife, Monica is an Instagram model with over 220,000 followers on the social media platform under the username @swedish_bella_backup.
She also has a successful OnlyFans account, which brings in a lot of money.
A typical day for her involves sharing snaps with her followers, taking care of the house, working out and cooking a nice dinner for her husband.
"John loves my cooking," adds Monica. "He always says food is my department and he just wants a nice dinner.
"If he asks me for something specific, he always gets what he wants."
And food isn't the only area where this applies - Monica also does as John wishes when it comes to her appearance at home.
"John likes me to dress nicely at home, like sexy-sporty, and he doesn’t like me wearing make-up around the house," she explains.
"Some women might not like being told what to do or wear but I love it when he gives me instructions.
"When I deliver, it makes him happy – and in turn that makes me happy.
"I love seeing my husband content and I don't think there is anything wrong with that."
Monica is also available to fulfil her husband's needs in the bedroom whenever he wants.
"When it comes to the bedroom I am very submissive and he’s dominant. I like it when a man takes charge and takes what he wants.
"I am always available for my husband's needs and I love it.
"It's a turn-on for me so I don't have any issues with that.
"My husband knows how to be dominant in the right way and he knows my needs. I find that extremely attractive in a man."
For anyone considering adopting the so-called "trad wife" lifestyle, Monica believes there are three major benefits to it.
She said: "First of all, you have more freedom to take care of yourself.
"I work out five times a week because my timetable allows me to, I don’t have to worry about rushing home from work.
"Another point is that you will have a stronger bond with your husband. You’re dedicating your life to make him happy the same way he’s working to make you happy. It’s that equal consideration towards each other that makes you close.
"And lastly, living like a 'trad wife' means you'll have the advantage of seeing your kids grow up. You’ll be there for them all the time."
Monica and John don't currently have children, but when the day comes, she will ensure to instil traditional values into her family.
"When we have children I will absolutely raise them very traditionally. If we have a girl, I'll teach her everything I know on how to be a good wife and my husband will do the same with our son," she adds.
