For those of us that wear make-up, there's an endless list of reasons we might want to add a splash of colour to our cheeks or jazz up our eyelids with some glittery powder - and it's not just about wanting to look "more attractive".
Some of us feel more confident in our own skin with make-up on, while others see the process as an art form and love nothing more than getting creative. Whatever your reasons may be, no one can tell you what make-up you can and can't wear, and no one's reasons for wearing it are invalid.
That's the message one woman on TikTok is trying to get across after her make-up videos began attracting negative attention from people who branded her a "catfish" and a "liar" for her impressive transformations.
The woman, named Sarah, recently responded to one comment she received by showing off another of her make-up routines and was praised in the comments for sticking up for herself.

In the video, Sarah shared a comment which read: "That's some catfish s**t. Go home with this, wake up next to someone's grandmother! Like, what happened to real women? No wonder you can't keep a man."
Sarah, who posts under the username @sarahthesassystoner, didn't address the comment itself in her video, and instead simply showed off a glamorous make-up look as she mouthed along to the words to The Catfish by Chunkysdead.
But in the comments, the woman replied to several people - including one user who said anyone who sleeps with her will "have a surprise" when they wake up to find her without make-up on.
She snapped back: "I don’t sleep with drunks and I have a man … but thanks for highlighting your ignorance and bullying tendencies publicly."

And replying to another comment which also slammed those who keep "saying this junk" on make-up videos, she said: "They're always putting their two cents in when it isn't their business and definitely not needed/wanted."
Sarah then revealed she is planning on sharing her make-up tips with those who want them in the near future, and also explained why she enjoys sharing her looks online.
She said: "For me, it’s not about the finished product … it’s about spending time on myself, being creative and having fun.
"I’m working on tutorials now … they’ll be out by next week."
Most of the comments on Sarah's video were positive, with many other women jumping on board to praise her make-up transformations and defend her against negativity.
One wrote: "I mean if a guy can’t figure out that women don’t naturally have purple eyelids, that’s on him."
While another said: "People really need to look up the meaning of the word catfish. She's not pretending to be a whole other person. She's wearing makeup."
"You look fantastic before and after, I admire your artistry", a third added.
