'I'm angry' - Phil Neville fumes after ex-Manchester United team-mate David Beckham's Inter Miami latest low

Ex-Manchester United man Phil Neville admits he is 'angry' after Inter Miami slumped to the bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference.

Neville is the head coach of the side co-owned by former United team-mate David Beckham. The club was founded in January 2018 and Neville has been in charge since the start of 2021.

Neville is in his second campaign in charge of the Florida side after leading them to an 11th placed finish last season. However, following a 1-0 loss to Montreal, Inter Miami are now bottom of the MLS Eastern Conference following a wretched run of form which has seen them win only two of their last dozen matches.

And Neville could not hide his and his players' anger following their latest loss. He felt his side ought to have won and taken the chances they created and believes they must recover their form.

He said: "They’re really angry. I’m angry. It's a game we should be winning with the chances we created, the moments that we had. We had three or four incredible opportunities, and with a little more composure, we score goals.

"I never thought they caused us many problems. We have four games coming up in the next seven to 12 days so everyone has to be ready."

After a difficult start to the campaign, Neville looked to have turned Miami's fortunes around. Having lost six games on the bounce, Inter then went on to take nine points from nine in their three following games, as well as winning two US Open cup ties in the process, but their hot run of form was short-lived though, leaving Neville with yet another mountain to climb.

Neville recently lost his cool with a member of the press in press conference. His outburst came after discussing his team's recent 3-1 defeat to state rivals Orlando City.

Whilst speaking in his post-match press conference, one journalist appeared to interrupt Neville whilst he was mid-answer. Less than impressed, he responded: "Can I finish speaking? Or are you going to interrupt? Can I finish speaking? Ok.

"Because I didn't interrupt your question, so don't interrupt mine. Show some f*****g respect. Sorry for the language."

Going on to lose his train of thought, Neville went on to add: "“So the... Sorry, what was the question? Ask me the question again, please."
