I’m always on the hunt for Halloween décor that feels unique and elevated –and Terrain’s new 2025 collection is a perfect reminder of why the brand is so beloved

Moss-covered mantlepiece with black and white tapered candles, bat ornaments, and a spider web display.

I still have a few summer garden parties and alfresco suppers to enjoy, but there’s something especially delightful about fall entertaining, particularly when Halloween decorating ideas are involved. With the date fast approaching, I’ve been on the lookout for distinctive tableware. My admiration for Anthropologie's Halloween bistro tile collection remains strong, but this year, it’s Terrain’s new Halloween collection that’s truly caught my eye.

Terrain is known for fusing nature and home design, and I always rely on its seasonal drops to bring more than a hint of whimsy. The Halloween collection promises plenty of ‘otherworldly delights’, but I was excited to see far more than bats, skulls, and pumpkins: from lighting to tableware, something is enchanting about these pieces, making them feel more timeless than traditional Halloween decor.

My ideal Halloween table decor strikes a balance between seasonal and kitsch – with a little mischief thrown in for good measure. I love experimenting with the color palette, too (black and gray hues never brings me much joy) which is why the Terrain collection really caught my attention: from mini glass pumpkins to ghost wax melts and charming felt ornaments, these pieces are versatile enough to elevate any table while also being intriguing enough to create a brilliant talking point for your guests.

That’s not to say that the collection doesn’t deliver on classic Halloween decor, however. While it offers an array of more pared-back pieces, it also provides everything you need for a truly show-stopping Halloween tablescape (think witch hat lanterns, brass skeleton hands, and an impressive tombstone marble serving board). Halloween might still be a few months away, but I’m full of fall decorating ideas already.
