Tattoo artists come across people from all walks of life - but that doesn't mean they look back fondly on everyone they meet.
In fact, some pros admit they form judgements about their customers based on the inks they choose.
Lifting the lid on what goes through the experts' heads when they see a terrible tattoo, @keeksandkooks revealed all.
Posting to TikTok the artist admitted: "I'm gonna judge you based on what type of bad tattoos you have." She then went onto list the culprits she dislikes, prefacing her opinion by saying: "I will not be elaborating on any of these."
"If you have a bad name tattoo you love really hard and that's kind of a problem," the expert claimed.
She continued: "If you have a bad portrait you're a terrible judge of character, and you don't know when to trust people, but you fear nothing.
"If you have a bad stick and poke one of two things are true: you're either really impatient or you're an adult emo kid who had cool friends. Or a third one, Covid really did a number for you."
Next up, certain animal-themed tattoos were in the line of fire.
"If you have a leopard print tattoo you have every single Victoria's Secret body spray and we should hang out," the tattoo artist joked. "If you have bad finger tattoos join the club."
She concluded her video by adding: "This video is not to single anybody out or make anybody feel bad about themselves. We've all got some bad tattoos on us. But I will leave you with some advice: when searching for a romantic partner, bad tattoos are not a red flag. Consistently bad tattoos are a red flag."
In response, one commenter said: "In some ways bad tattoos are the best tattoos because they usually have a great story." Another revealed: "I love my bad tattoos."
