October’s a great month for a wardrobe refresh because it’s when cold season staples really become essential.
That means it’s time to unpack your knitwear, dig out your coats, and start thinking about if there are any gaps in your winter rotation. The good news? It’s also the month when Amazon hosts its Big Deal Days sale, which includes a great selection of new-season fashion deals.
In fact, the sale is happening as we speak. We’re currently in the midst of the two-day event, which ends at 11.59pm on Wednesday, October 8. Though you’d be forgiven for assuming Amazon is not a hot destination for clothing deals, there’s actually a good selection of brands in the sale across menswear, womenswear and accessories.
But there’s one snag: unless you’re a seasoned professional, it can be tough wading through the thousands of entries on Amazon Fashion to dig out the products which are actually worth your time. But that’s where I come in.

My top tip? Amazon’s sale is the best time to stock up on classics you’ll wear again and again. Try not to be lured in by the promise of an amazing deal if it’s just an impulse buy which will just live in your drawer, tag on, until it inevitably ends up on your Vinted. Instead, think about whether the piece you’re buying is something which will make its way into your regular rotation, regardless of the discount.
It could be a new pair of jeans, fresh basics, some knitwear, the latest sneakers or some party szn jewellery ready for December. Either way, you can browse everything from Tommy Hilfiger to GANT, Adidas and Swarovski in the sale.
