‘I’m a fascist’: Catholic YouTuber immediately fired from job after mind-blowingly evil Jubilee debate appearance

It turns out that even in today’s debased and cruel world, there are actual consequences that come with guffawing stupidly as you confess to being a fascist in front of nearly four million people. This story comes via YouTube channel Jubilee, which has been steadily building a platform based on herding a group of abject weirdos into a studio and having them attempt to debate a public figure.

The latest episode, 1 Progressive vs 20 Far-Right Conservatives (ft. Mehdi Hasan), was their most depressing to date, as the twenty “far-right conservatives” proved to be the absolute scum of humanity, marinating in unearned smugness and bovine ignorance.

The low point of the video (and that’s a tough call given how awful these freaks are) came early on when a young man called Connor raced to the table. He claimed to be a Catholic, but what he was spouting didn’t sound particularly Christlike, particularly when he praised Nazi theorist Carl Schmitt and hemmed and hawed on whether Nazis persecuted Jewish people.

Oh yeah, and he also said he “absolutely” doesn’t believe in democracy and would prefer a dictatorship under a “benevolent leader”. Hmm, if only there was a specific term for this kind of guy…

Hasan responded: “We may have to rename this show, because you’re a little bit more than a far-right Republican.” Connor replied, “What can I say?”, to which Hasan provides him his answer: “I’m a fascist”. Connor chuckles and says, “Yeah, I am!” adding, “I’m not ashamed of that!”.

Oh no, the consequences of my actions!

Well, maybe it’d have been better for him if he had been ashamed, as Connor’s life is now a smoking crater after the hammer of consequences crashed down on him. His employer saw the video, decided that, actually, they do not want a literal actual self-described fascist working for them, and instantly kicked him to the curb.

Connor, who also moonlights as groyper YouTuber pinesap, is now weeping online that he’s been “fired for my political beliefs” and that “This is cancel culture and political discrimination on full display.” Honestly, cancel culture has such a bad reputation, but maybe a couple of temporarily annoyed celebrities is all worth it if we get to see fascists penniless and depressed.

But Connor’s rapid downfall (incidentally, also the title of an extremely good movie) is just a silver lining on an extremely gloomy cloud. Jubilee may have struck YouTube gold when it comes to views, but perhaps putting the absolute worst and most toxic people in society in front of an audience of millions and letting them spew poison isn’t the hottest idea.
