I'm A Celebrity winner Danny Miller says show was an 'absolute nightmare'

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! winner Danny Miller has opened up about his time on the show after being crowned King of the Castle.

The Emmerdale star won the 2021 series on Sunday night after beating Simon Gregson and Frankie Bridge in the final and said he was "still on cloud nine" during Monday's instalment of Good Morning Britain.

Speaking to Ranvir Singh and Adil Ray live from Wales Danny said it was "a really nice feeling" to have won but branded the show an "absolute nightmare".

"How does it feel because you were a superfan of I'm A Celebrity?" Ranvir asked.

Adding: "At what point did you start relaxing into it or were you always aware you were on camera? How does it work and how was it for you?"

"I will be honest with you it was an absolute nightmare," Danny responded.

"From start to finish it was tension, it was awful. Luckily for me I had David Ginola all the way throughout."

He continued: "I don't think you can ever really get used to it. I mean obviously I'm used to being in front of a camera, but to have a camera recording you all the way throughout, 24 hours a day, seven days a week doesn't make it any easier."

Explaining his reason for doing the show, Danny said candidly: "The whole reason I did it was for my fiancee, soon-to-be wife, and my baby Albert, to set them up for a big future."

"Albert is six and a half weeks now," Danny said. "I've not seen him yet. I'm waiting to go back today to see him. Can't wait to put him in my arms and see him for the first time in what seems like a lifetime."

Danny also revealed he was homesick from day one.

Speaking to the GMB hosts, he explained: "I didn't realise what I'd signed up to.

"I really missed my family. I was homesick from day one."

Good Morning Britain continues weekday at 6am on ITV.
