I'm a Celebrity viewers all saying the same thing about the new line-up

I'm a Celebrity returned with a bang last night as 10 new faces entered Gwrych Castle near Abergele for the new series, the second to be filmed in Wales.

But while those watched marvelled at the stunning Welsh scenery they also were asking the same thing about the line-up -who are they?

Well, the contestants taking part this year are former Saturdays singer Frankie Bridge, ex-BBC Breakfast presenter Louise Minchin, music producer Naughty Boy, TV presenter Richard Madeley, Olympic gold medal-winning diver Matty Lee, Paralympian Kadeena Cox, football legend David Ginola, former Strictly judge Dame Arlene Phillips, Radio 1Xtra DJ Snoochie Shy and Emmerdale star Danny Miller.

But aside from hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, lots of people watching the opener were struggling to recognise the line-up.

And people soon vented their frustration on social media about the apparent calibre of the celebs on this year's show.

Loz on Twitter said: "This is the worst I’m a celebrity line up ever #ImACeleb " and on Facebook, Leigh Woolford said of seeing the line-up image: "Only recognised one person in that pic."

They weren't alone, another viewer tweeted: "Just looked at the ‘celebrity’ line up for ‘I’m a celebrity get me out of here!’ Never heard of most of them and when you look up who they are their same [sic] is tenuous at best. Apparently I qualify as a celeb for next years show!"

One tweeter, Jamie P-Jones. even brought poor Lidl into the conversation, saying: "This year's I'm a Celebrity line up brought to you by Lidl."

Mr Duffy on Twitter added: "This is more like I'm not a celebrity cause this line up is dead #ImACeleb "

And Paul Braisby summed it up for a lot of people on Twitter, writing: "Just seen the I’m a celebrity line up…. When do the actual celebrity’s[sic] turn up? #ImACeleb "

Last night's launch episode saw the campmates split into two groups, with half staying in the main camp and the other in the even more basic clink, after a series of challenges.

I'm a Celebrity continues tonight when Emmerdale star, Danny Miller will go head-to-head with Snoochie Shy, who hasn't been decided yet.

The show airs tonight on ITV at 9pm.
