I'm A Celebrity viewers say Jordan North was 'robbed' as Giovanna Fletcher is crowned winner

A public vote never appear to run smoothly.

So it's no surprise that I'm A Celebrity viewers were left completely divided over this year's winner.

It was Giovanna Fletcher who was crowned the first ever Queen of the Castle after more than 12 million people cast their votes.

The podcaster and author pipped series favourite Jordan North to the post.

And while many are happy for 'Mumma Gi' as she was affectionately called, others feel the complete opposite.

After hosts Ant and Dec made the announcement on Friday night, viewers who have been dedicated to the series for the last three weeks made their opinions known.

"I'm so happy Giovanna won she was my favourite from the start bc she’s just so nice #ImACelebrity," wrote one fan.

Another said: "YES!! Get in.. I knew @MrsGiFletcher would win #ImACelebrity. Gi you deserve this so much."

"YEEAAAHHHHHH!!!! Absolutely love @MrsGiFletcher, she really deserved this! I wish I were a bit more Giovanna," added a third.

But others think Jordan should have been crowned King.

"@jordannorth1 was robbed blind, I hope he knows how much we love him #ImACelebrity," an upset fan wrote.

Another fumed: "

"can’t believe you guys... YOU WERE MEAN’T TO VOTE JORDAN," a third cried.

A fourth added: "Jordan was robbed, goodnight #ImACelebrity."

"Na I’m a celeb is a FiX how has Jordan not won #ImACelebrity," another comment read.

But the viewers decided and it was Gi who took the 2020 title.

The mum-of-three was stunned when the result was called and said: "I can't believe it, people have literally picked up their phone and voted. I can’t believe it.

"It's been the most amazing experience."

Jordan also paid tribute to his fellow campmate and new pal. He said: "I couldn't have lost to anybody better," before addressing Giovanna and adding: "You totally deserve this."

He said that she is the most "genuine, kindest person I have ever met".
