I'm A Celebrity viewers fume on final night before winner even unveiled

I'm A Celebrity fans were left angry after the final of the show was delayed by close to 10 minutes because of Boris Johnson.

The grand finale didn't get underway at the scheduled time of 9pm with many viewers confused as to what was going on.

But it was Boris Johnson's crunch Covid announcement that led to the programme being shifted back a few minutes, and irritating fans even further.

Stacey Amos tweeted: "being 10 minutes late is stressing me tf out!"

Another said: "We deserve an 'evening prime minister' joke since they started the show late."

One fumed: "Late on The very Last Programme #ImACeleb Thanks a Lot Boris Johnson."

This evening, the Prime Minister announced that the UK's Covid alert had been raised and urged everyone eligible to get their booster jab as soon as possible.

On Saturday evening, David Ginola became the last star to leave before the final.

Following the double elimination of Olympian Matty Lee and EastEnders ' Adam Woodyatt on Friday night, it was the four remaining contestants' chance to take on the famous Celebrity Cyclone.

The segment was as classic as ever, as the final four were pelted with all sorts and braving strong winds and plenty of water.

But at the end of the episode, Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly were back to confirm who the latest evictee was, just a day before the final.

Arriving in camp, they delivered the news as the other shocked contestants raced to say their goodbyes.

Danny, Frankie and Simon were evidently emotional to lose David, as it also dawned on them they were the last three standing.

On his exit, David said it was "amazing" to see footage from his time in the castle, adding he and his campmates "loved each other".

He said it was a "victory" and a "win" to have enjoyed the experience he had, suggesting he had been "adopted" by the UK public.

Referencing times he called out campmates including Naughty Boy and Louise Minchin, he said it was "fun" but "difficult".

It's now up to the public to vote yet again, as they must decide who wins the crown out of Frankie, Danny and Simon.

Of course the cast may not all return to the studio at the famous castle to watch the winner be crowned on Sunday night.
