I'm A Celebrity viewers baffled as they spot an 'unnecessary' detail

Viewers picked up on an 'unnecessary' detail as they settled down to watch the long-awaited return of I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here!

This year the show, in its 20th series, has moved from New South Wales in Australia to north Wales.

There was always a clock at the bottom of the screen to tell viewers watching at home in the UK what time it was in the camp in Australia.

Some fans wondered why the clock was still there (ITV)

But I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out Of Here! fans were baffled to see it was still there to show them the time in Wales.

"The live time in the corner is unnecessary," tweeted one.

"Well aware what the time is in Wales," sniffed another.

"Didn’t know the time was the same in Wales as it is here," said another viewer sarcastically.

But others loved seeing the familiar detail as hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly

"It’s great seeing the time still on the bottom of the screen," said one.

"Me sat here all amazed seeing the same time zone on our screen instead of the usual 7am," tweeted another.

"Gonna be weird being in the same time zone as the boys but here we go," said another.

I'm a Celeb: Celebrities hug after being forced to fly alone

Gwrych Castle in Abergele, north Wales, is the new home to 10 celebrities for the next three weeks as they leave their plush pads and luxuries far behind.

TV presenter Vernon Kay, broadcaster and journalist Victoria Derbyshire, former EastEnders stars Jessica Plummer and Shane Richie, Paralympic gold medallist Hollie Arnold MBE, Radio 1 DJ Jordan North, Corrie icon Beverley Callard, ballroom dancer AJ Pritchard, author and podcaster Giovanna Fletcher and Olympic legend Sir Mo Farah are this year's contestants bracing themselves for freezing temperatures in Wales instead of the sunny Gold Coast in Australia this year.

Gwrych Castle - a 19th century Grade I-listed building - has been transformed to make sure it is a fitting venue sitting in hills overlooking the A55 bypass and Welsh coastline.

The celebs' living and sleeping quarters are inside the castle.
