I'm A Celebrity viewers' decision on Coronation Street's Simon Gregson after he arrives on show

I'm a Celebrity viewers were treated on Thursday night as two soap stars entered the Castle

Coronation Street's Simon Gregson and EastEnders mainstay Adam Woodyatt made their way into camp on Thursday's show.

Ant and Dec teased their appearance on Wednesday's programme as the pair announced that every contestant would be competing in the next bushtucker trial.

Simon and Adam, best know for their soap characters Steve McDonald and Ian Beale, join Danny Miller, Dame Arelene Phillips and Frankie Bridge in the show, M.E.N reports.

Sadly, the pair will not be on the show with Richard Madeley, who was taken to hospital as a precaution for feeling unwell and eventually forced to exit the show.

Introduction packages were played to give fans a glimpse of Adam and Simon.

Ahead of his arrival, Adam said: Adam said: "I’m Adam Woodyatt and I’m probably best known for being a resident of Albert Square and playing Ian Beale for 37 years.

"I’m gonna be about as much use as a chocolate teapot."

Simon then added: "I’m Simon Gregson and people will probably best know me for playing the character of Steve McDonald in Coronation Street.

"It’ll be nice to actually show people that there’s absolutely no difference between me and Steve McDonald (laughs)."

Simon had also revealed that he accepted the invitation to be in the latest series of I’m a Celebrity due to pressure from his children, who are big fans of the show.

“They were just like ‘come on dad, we’d love it’,” he said. "So I just said ‘ok anything for you guys’.

"(They) are like ‘absolutely do not say ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here’ and make sure you at least get as far as possible otherwise it’s going to be a huge pile-on when I get home."

And despite only a brief glimpse, I'm A Celeb viewers have already made their mind up on Simon.

@danasballum said: "SIMON FOR THE WIN."

"Simon to win," @demie.jx echoed.

@izzyevangelinemain added: "Already want him to win."
