I'm A Celebrity star Giovanna Fletcher's brother Mario Falcone on why she could win the show

She's quietly emerged as one of the favourites to win I'm A Celebrity ...Get Me Out Of here! and one supporter who isn't surprised by Giovanna Fletcher's success in the castle is her younger brother.

The mother-of-three has remained cool, calm and collected in the face of gruesome challenges and the first signs of tension in camp.

And former TOWIE star Maria Falcone says what we're seeing from author, vlogger and podcaster Giovanna on the telly every night is exactly what she's like off-screen.

"She's smashing it and we couldn't be prouder," he told us.

"I knew she would do well.

"The way she conducts herself, I grew up with that side of her.

"She's strong. But she's a mum with three boys, and if you can handle three boys you can handle the challenges in the castle.

"This is what she's like."

Knowing there's very little that might faze her Mario reckons Giovanna, who has three boys Buzz, six, Buddy, four and Max, could go all the way to be crowned Queen of the Castle.

Before abseiling her way to the castle, the 35-year-old was best known for being married to McFly musician Tom Fletcher - but this is now set to change.

"I feel sorry for Tom because she'll make sure he calls her 'Queen Gi'" Mario joked.

Mario, 32, admits he was taken aback by the news she was joining the reality show line-up.

"I was surprised, but she deserves this because of how hard she works," he said.

"She represents the mums and shows how they can kick a***."

Mario is also proud that his two-year-old son Parker has become the face of Mood Bears - five colourful bears that express moods and states - and their new festive campaign to encourage parents and their children to talk more about their feelings in the run up to Christmas, especially after such a difficult year.

"The bears have certainly got Parker's attention and it's great that we can start him off now interacting," he said.

On mental health, he said: "It's killing more and more people.

"I've done work with Papyrus (the UK charity for the prevention of young suicide) and I was unaware that kids as young as eight are taking their own lives."
