I’m a Celebrity South Africa will not return soon despite chaotic finale and ratings triumph

The spin-off series I’m a Celebrity: South Africa, which recently concluded, will not be returning to screens for an extended period despite its success, with its finale described as one of the most chaotic reality TV episodes in years.
The pre-recorded ITV series, featuring past contestants, first aired in 2023 and saw 2006 star Myleene Klass crowned Queen of the Jungle, following a three-year gap since its conception.
Despite achieving strong ratings for the channel, there are no immediate plans for its return, with reports suggesting another all-stars version is not expected until 2029, while the regular I’m a Celebrity series will continue as usual this November.
The show's live final was marked by a tense showdown between reunited contestants, prompting hosts Ant and Dec to take the unusual step of intervening and siding in a dispute.
The controversy stemmed from Jimmy Bullard and David Haye questioning ITV's editing of a heated argument between Bullard and Adam Thomas, which occurred after Bullard's decision to quit the show would have also led to Thomas's departure.
