I'm A Celebrity's Shane Richie opens up about touching moment he met wife Christie

I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! star Shane Richie has revealed that one of the the happiest moments of his life was when he met his wife Christie Goddard.

The 56-year-old EastEnders actor was chatting to his fellow camp mates during tonight's show when he reflected upon their touching first encounter.

Shane - who was previously married to Loose Women's Coleen Nolan - revealed that he had headed to the pub when he locked eyes with Christie.

“I remember the moment, I was doing Panto in Wimbledon, I came off stage, my mate said to me, ‘We’re going across the road to the pub’." Shane told the camp.

The actor went on to admit that he instantly knew that Christie would become his wife.

Shane added: "At the moment I went, ‘I’ve just met my future wife.’”

Shane and Christie met in 2001 and went on to get married in 2007.
