I’m a Celebrity’s Russell Watson screams in terror as he ‘sees a ghost’ in camp

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star Russell Watson screamed his head off during Thursday's show after apparently seeing a ghost.

But the opera singer was actually putting on another performance, pretending to see a spooky apparition as part of a secret task.

A "jester" in a painting had been convincing Ruthie Henshall and Russell to complete secret tasks, with Ruthie getting a foot massage from Jordan.

Next, Ruthie and Russell had to sabotage when a question was given to the camp by Kiosk Cledwyn.

The question was: "What was the first name of Shakespeare when he was baptised, A/William or B/Walter.".

Ruthie and Russell pushed for Walter so the camp all went along with them and said Walter, and were gutted when Kiosk Cledwyn slammed the shutter down, leaving them empty handed.

Next up, the jester called Russell over and said he’d won another four luxury items since he’d successfully completed the second prank.

He then told Russell the final prank would be to convince his fellow celebrities that he’d seen a ghost.

Russell went to his bed and then screamed at the top of his lungs in a panic, causing everyone to rushover to see if he was OK.

Russell said he had just seen a ghostly figure looking at him, a woman with a white face and grey hair, and his campmates were horrified.

Victoria Derbyshire, however, was having none of it and told him ghosts do not exist.

As Mo Farah returned to the camp, the campmates accused him of pranking Russell.

Later, the jester told Russell and Ruthie they had successfully completed the final prank so they would get the final four luxury items and that they could now tell their fellow campmates what they had been up to.

In the Telegraph, Russell said: "It was such a heck of a day, such a joy."
