I'm A Celebrity's Russell and Ruthie spark concern from original contestants

Two of the original I'm A Celebrity 2020 lineup have expressed concerns about the arrival of Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall.

After Russell and Ruthie were widely tipped to be on the lineup for the show this year, there was some confusion when they weren't amongst the famous faces who went into the show's new home of Gwrych Castle on Sunday night.

Rumours of their I'm A Celebrity appearance came after they were spotted at the same photo call as the likes of Mo Farah and Beverley Callard, who are of course, already in the castle.

They were finally unveiled as late arrivals by hosts Ant and Dec on Tuesday night and Vernon Kay and Shane Richie, who was caught 'talking' about them before their entrance, both raised reservations about them coming in.

Vernon said: "I've got mixed emotions at the moment. It moves the dimensions. It moves the dynamics about slightly.

"I would be genuinely upset if this dynamic changes."

Later Shane added: "There's 10 of us now, we've been together four days. We know each other really well. We're eating, sleeping, laughing, crying together and for another two people to come in you're always frightened.

"It's going to change the dynamics and we were kind of concerned about that."

Ruthie seemed very excited to get cracking on castle life, gushing: "I'm so excited to get into the castle and really look forward to saying hello to everyone and getting to know them."
