I'm A Celebrity's Richard Madeley smiles with a brew as he's seen for first time since shock exit

Presenter Richard Madeley was spotted for the first time since his shock exit from I'm A Celebrity - smiling with a cup of tea in hand.

The TV favourite, 65, had been rushed to hospital in the early hours of Thursday morning after he became unwell at camp.

But after 'breaking the Covid bubble' he announced he was leaving the show and would not be returning.

He was pictured for the first time since leaving the camp bringing a parcel in from outside, and was seen smiling with a cup of tea in his hand, reports the Mirror.

It follows his statement from Thursday afternoon, that he issued following his departure.

“By leaving the camp, I had consequently broken the Covid ‘bubble’ and as such I’ve had to leave the castle and all the wonderful celebs that remain in the camp,” he said.

“Obviously I’m gutted to be leaving so soon but the safety of all the campmates is the number one priority.

"I’m incredibly excited to watch their journey continue … even more so at the prospect of being somewhere a little warmer than Gwrych Castle,” the Good Morning Britain co-host quipped.

Richard, who was one of the favourites to be crowned King of the Castle, thanked his fans for their unwavering support during his short stint on the hit show, and said he’d had “an unforgettable adventure”.

“I’ve made some great friends and honestly had the time of my life,” he added.
