I'm A Celebrity's Noel Edmonds turns Emperor as he lords over his 'gladiator' campmates

Noel Edmonds made a regal entrance into the I’m A Celebrity jungle as he surprised his fellow campmates at the Bushtucker Trial clearing.

The Deal Or No Deal presenter made his way out onto a rainy balcony to address his new pals, wearing a purple sash and leafy headdress as the Emperor.

In a teaser clip from Thursday night’s episode, host Declan Donnelly tells the campmates that they are now gladiators and that their fate will be decided by a mystery new camp leader.

A fanfare sounds before Edmonds walks out while the other stars scream and cheer in excitement.

Holly Willoughby and Donnelly made a shock announcement on Wednesday ahead of the fourth Bushtucker trial as they revealed the public vote had been scrapped .

Instead, all 10 famous faces were ordered to the clearing area, including Anne Hegerty, Emily Atack and John Barrowman who have already taken on their first trials.

Edmonds was confirmed as a late arrival Down Under earlier this week, posing for his promo shots on a vintage red car.

The 69-year-old joked that he would “retire” from television if he was crowned King of the Jungle next month.

He said he owes it to the British public to step away from the limelight.

I’m A Celebrity continues Thursday at 9pm on ITV.
