I'm A Celebrity's most dramatic exits ever as Olivia Attwood quits after 24 hours

Olivia Attwood has quit I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of here! after just 24 hours.

The 31-year-old Love Island star - who made history as the first contestant from the ITV dating show to make it into the jungle - has reportedly been forced to quit the show for medical reasons.

A spokesman for the show told The Mirror: "As a precautionary measure Olivia needed to leave the jungle to undergo some medical checks.

“Unfortunately, the medical team has advised it is not safe for Olivia to return to camp as there needs to be further investigation. She has been absolutely brilliant and she'll be very much missed on the show.”

It is thought Olivia is already on a flight home to the UK to be with fiancé Bradley Dack.

But Olivia is not the only campmate to make an early exit, with many famous faces calling it quits over the years for a whole host of reasons from health scares to 'just not feeling it really', if your name's Gemma Collins.

Here we take a look back at I'm A Celeb's most dramatic walkouts.

Richard Madeley

Richard Madeley was forced to quit I’m A Celebrity last year when it took place in Wales.

The 66-year-old TV presenter revealed the news on his Instagram account just hours after news emerged he had dramatically left the show and been taken away in an ambulance for treatment.

In the update, he insisted that he was "absolutely fine", but because he had felt briefly unwell in the morning, he was taken to hospital as a precaution.

As a result, he broke his Covid bubble and was forced to leave the castle.

The telly star said he was "gutted" to be leaving, but thanked everyone for his support during his brief stint on the show.

Jack Maynard

YouTube vlogger Jack Maynard sensationally left the show after just two days to be quizzed on allegations raised by the Mirror that he sent inappropriate messages to a female fan.

Jack, 22, had already faced stories since going in the jungle of past racist and homophobic comments, as well as asking an underage girl to take her clothes off online.

An ITV spokesman said: “Due to circumstances outside camp, Jack has had to withdraw from the show.”

While a statement from Jack’s agent said: “In the last few days Jack has been the subject of a succession of media stories which he has been unable to respond to.

“Since it is only fair that everyone should be aware of any allegations made against them and should also have the right to defend themselves, it was agreed it would be better to bring him out.

“Jack agrees with this decision which was made by his representatives and ITV, and thanks everyone who has supported him in the show this far.”

When he left the show, he issued a public apology and put his actions down to be being young and and his exposure on social media, which eventually led to his career.

Gemma Collins

After Jack, the most famous famous jungle victim is Gemma Collins.

The TOWIE star lasted just three days before she dramatically walked out in a fit of tears last series - but she didn't half pack the drama into her brief stint Down Under.

First there was THAT helicopter ride where she spent most of it crying, shortly after that she had the worst shower ever as she bravely took on the jungle's washing facilities.

But possibly worse still was the "yellow pooh" and the worry that she may have Malaria. For the avoidance of doubt: she didn't!

Spencer Matthews

The 2015 series of I’m A Celeb kicked off with a bang after Spencer Matthews quit the show after just three days and before even entering the main camp.

The former Made In Chelsea star was given an ultimatum after he flipped out at bosses over a drugs row.

Disgraced Spencer – who later admitted he had a steroid addiction – swiftly left the camp, something which he says he was forced to do.

Craig Charles

Coronation Street star Craig Charles heartbreakingly quit I'm A Celebrity after being told of the death of his brother Dean.

An ITV source confirmed at the time: "Craig was told the sad news earlier today.

"He was devastated and decided to leave straight away, but did stop to say his goodbyes to his fellow celebrities.

"He was a great part of the show and we are sorry to see him leave but completely respect his wishes. He is expected to fly home tomorrow."

Craig was the second celebrity to leave the show that series following Gemma Collins' departure.

Lady Colin Campbell

Lady Colin Campbell decided it was time to call it quits on her jungle experience just four days before the final in 2015.

The royal biographer and socialite made a swift exit on "medical grounds", it was claimed at the time.

A friend of Lady C told the Mirror there was “a lot more to tell”, adding the true story behind the pearl-lover's departure would be "explosive".

Lady C later sensationally claimed she had been bullied by fellow contestants Duncan Bannatyne and Tony Hadley.

Katie Price

Katie returned to the jungle in 2009, five years after meeting husband Peter Andre on the show to get "closure" on their dramatic break-up.

But the fool-proof plan didn't exactly work and she quit after just nine days.

Explaining her decision to leave, she said: "It's not about the money, it's not about winning for me - I just don't want to be here any more."

During her exit chat, she then famously dumped husband number two Alex Reid live on air.

But he gave her another chance and the pair got married. Unfortunately, she wasn't quite so understanding when she discovered his cross-dressing alter-ego Roxanne.

Daniella Westbrook

Danniella Westbrook quit I'm A Celebrity TWICE during the show's second series in 2003.

The EastEnders star was getting sick and tired of being nominated by the public to take part in Bushtucker trials.

It didn't take long for Westbrook to decided enough was enough, so she went down to the bush telegraph - where the contestants can speak one-on-one to the programme's producers - and burst into tears and said that she needed to get out and see her husband again.

A source said at the time: "They persuaded her to return and she went back after less than three hours. This time she is definitely not coming back"... She didn't.

Brian Harvey

East17 singer Brian Harvey dramatically quit the show in 2004 following a row with Janet Street Porter.

She shouted at him and he responded by packing up his belongings and storming out of the camp.

Furious Brian said he was sick of being "treated like a kid" in front of millions of viewers.

He said he needed “a big mac and large fries” and went straight to McDonalds on exiting the show.

Natalie Appleton

Natalie Appleton was the third-ever celebrity to quit the jungle in 2004.

The All Saints beauty decided to leave the show after being voted to undergo her fifth Bushtucker Trial.

She called time on her appearance on the show shortly after former East 17 frontman Brian Harvey quit.

However, despite her early departure, Natalie remained Down under until the end of the series, but did not re-enter the jungle.
