I'm A Celebrity's Matt Hancock 'broke rules' during Babatunde exit

I'm A Celebrity campmate Matt Hancock has been accused of 'breaking rules' when he said goodbye to Babatunde Aleshe as he left the jungle.

During last night's episode, the Gogglebox star and comedian was voted out of the jungle, with Tory MP Matt Hancock somehow surviving another vote-off, writes The Mirror.

When it was announced that Babatunde would be leaving, he stood up to say goodbye to his campmates including Mr Hancock - who made a comment to him.

Richard Arnold spoke about the goodbyes on GMB today, fuming over Mr Hancock's comment to the comedian and accusing him of 'breaking the show's rules' which Richard said he shouldn't be allowed to do.

As Babatunde said goodbye to Mr Hancock, he told him: "Man like Matt!" using his favourite catchphrase, he then said: "you're so wonderful", and the politician quickly replied and told his fellow campmate "will you say that to Gina".

Richard said: "Sending a message to the outside world!" Susanna Reid then asked "is that not allowed?" and Richard replied to insist it wasn't - adding: "Not allowed to send a message to this outside world. Subliminal messages are different."

Richard then laughed: "I'd be sending a flare up by this point - it's been long enough!"

Before wrapping up his segment on the ITV show, Richard had one more thing to say - and it was a dig at the former Health Secretary.

The studio laughed as he said: "There we have it, Matt Hancock breaking rules," as he was seemingly referring to Mr Hancock's affair with his now-girlfriend Gina Coladangelo.

The former Health Secretary and Gina hit the headlines back in 2021 when a picture of them smooching emerged. The CCTV picture, which was leaked to the media, sparked fury and after being accused of breaking his own Covid rules during his liaison with Gina, he resigned as Health Secretary.

Earlier in the series, he was asked about breaking his own rules amid the lockdown - and he said "it was no excuse but I fell in love".
