I’m A Celebrity's Malique Thompson-Dwyer downs glass of champagne and shuts down Fleur East romance as he’s kicked out

Malique Thompson-Dwyer knocked back a glass of champagne on being booted out of I’m A Celebrity, telling fans he struggled with the lack of food.

The Hollyoaks actor, 20, received the fewest public votes up against fellow soap star Sair Khan.

“I’m just glad to be out because I’m absolutely starving,” he told Declan Donnelly and Holly Willoughby. “I was struggling with the food situation. Half the time I was so hungry I couldn’t talk. I’ve lost so much weight.”

He joked that he has learned to not be so lazy and promised to start cleaning around his own house.

“I am the youngest,” he said. “Everyone was calling me jungle baby. I find myself quite lazy. I feel around my own house I’ll be doing cleaning.”

The soap star said he got on well with Harry Redknapp, saying: “Harry is a joker. I get along with the geezer. The stories that he tells I could listen to him all day.”

Asked by Joe Swash on Extra Camp if his relationship with Fleur East was “brother sister” or “lover lover” he said: “No, Fleur was definitely like my sister. Me and Fleur have talked about linking up in the studio.”

Thompson-Dwyer said he was looking forward to “chilling with my mum” and Facetiming his daughter.

John Barrowman was excluded from tonight's public vote after spraining his ankle and being taken to hospital.

I’m A Celebrity is on ITV, tomorrow at 9pm
