I'm A Celebrity's Louise Minchin voted off as fans call 'sexism' on ITV show

Former BBC breakfast host Louise Minchin has said she is "disappointed" over an issue I'm A Celebrity fans described as "obvious".

Louise, 53, spent a total of 17 days in camp, only taking part in one trial during that time.

The former BBC Breakfast host became the fifth star to be voted off the ITV reality show, as reported by the MEN.

Her exit was announced by hosts Ant and Dec at the end of last night's episode (December 9) after it came between Louise and Matty Lee.

After seeing a highlights reel of her time in Gwrych Castle in North Wales, Louise said she learnt she "cared about caring for people."

"I did not realise it was fundamental to me," she told Ant and Dec.

Louise's exit means that former Saturdays singer and Loose Women star Frankie Bridge is the last woman in the show.

Commenting on being the fourth women to be eliminated from the I'm A Celeb camp, the broadcaster said: "I am disappointed that is the case… there is only one Frankie Bridge, she is incredible, strong, stronger than she thinks she is."

And those watching the programme shared their thoughts on social media.

@VonnyR7 tweeted: "Just an observation but why is it the women always go out first ? Thought Louise was a solid contender. #ImACeleb," before adding: "She brought it up herself ! Glaringly obvious ! #ImACeleb."

"F**K SAKE!!!! 5 males and one female left??? Is this becoming sexist !!?? RIDICULOUS!!’ Voting every day for Frankie Bridge now!! Go Frankie!" @Bristolian1970 commented. #ImACeleb."

@rnboopride added: "WHAT IS IT WITH THE WOMEN BEING VOTED OUT CONSTANTLY?? #imaceleb."

And some weren't happy with Louise's exit interview.

@MarvelFan7861 said: "#ImACeleb Was it a Louise interview or a frankie interview with a hint of Louise?? Like why’s everything frankie this frankie that?"
