I'm a Celebrity's Hollie Arnold is first star to be evicted from castle after public vote

I’m A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! star Hollie Arnold became the first celebrity in the 2020 series to be evicted after the public voted for their favourites.

Hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly entered the camp in the Gwrych Castle, Wales, and gave the bad news to the camp.

Paralympic javelin champion Hollie, 26, revealed she was "devastated" to have been the first campmate voted out, and said she already missed her campmates.

"I tried my best and I loved every minute of it," she said, before saying she hoped Jordan North would win because he is "so lovely".

"I am devastated, but one of us has to go, right? You have to be prepared, but honestly that was just the best experience I've ever had, I didn't want to leave."

"I just want to give you a big hug!" said Dec, but the hosts had to remain socially distanced from the celebrities.

"This is awful," remarked Ant, as Hollie cried.

"I never really knew what to expect, so I just wanted to go in there and enjoy every single moment of it, it's a crazy opportunity for me, and to meet those 11 amazing people, I can't thank them enough."

"I love them, I miss them already, I really, really do," she added, calling the other celebrities "friends for life".

Earlier on in the show, all of the campmates had a tearful chat where they told each other how much they loved each other.

Shane Richie said: 'We meet as strangers and leave as besties."

Giovanna Fletcher said: "This group has been amazing, I do feel like we’ve made friends for life."

Ruthie Henshall got teary as the thanked everyone for her experience and Vernon commented that the celebrities were "the perfect jigsaw of personalities".

Jessica Plummer cried and thanked everyone for making her recognise her strengths and Jordan North said he was happy he’d decided to do the show.

Beverley Callard said "I’ve been in Coronation Street for 31 years and I truly have never worked or been with such a bunch of wonderful people as this, I’m proud to have you as friends."

She told Mo Farah she had fallen "madly in love with him" and said he was sexy, before telling him he would have to apologise to his wife.

Mo said he felt he’d achieved an amazing bond with everyone, and Victoria Derbyshire got teary as she said: "Life is so short and I came in here because I wanted a once in a lifetime experience.

"Honestly, I’ve adored observing us all essentially falling in love with each other.

"Thank you so much, I’ll never ever forget this my whole life."

They all clapped each other and said: "All for one and one for all."
