The new I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! set has reportedly been hit by floods after heavy rainfall in North Wales.
The ITV reality series will be filmed at Gwrych Castle in Abergele, Conwy, for the first time in the show’s 18 year history, after the coronavirus pandemic ruled out filming in Australia.
However, a new report in The Sun claims that parts of the new set being built at Gwrych Castle were left “very soggy” following heavy rainfall in the area.
An insider claimed that crew working on the show spent “much of the weekend trying to remove standing water from areas of the building.”

“They’re now trying to work out a way to make sure that, if there’s bad weather when the show airs in November, it doesn’t affect filming,” they said.
“The jungle set was fine when it rained as there was natural drainage and streams.
“But an ancient castle with no proper piping systems is a whole different story.
"It’s a very soggy headache at the moment.”
Standard Online has contacted ITV for further comment.
Last week, ITV confirmed that the show “continues to adhere to all relevant guidelines as well as our own strict Covid protocol” after the Welsh government announced a new series of local lockdowns would affect Conwy.
Returning hosts Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly recently teased a first look at the upcoming series when they shared a photo showing themselves standing in front of a sign post directing visitors to the castle.
I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! will air on ITV later this year.
