I'm A Celebrity's Giovanna Fletcher forced to hit back over claims she 'regretted' winning the show

I'm A Celebrity's Giovanna Fletcher has been forced to hit back at claims she 'regretted' winning the show.

The podcaster and author was crowned the very first Queen of the Castle during the final of the ITV reality show earlier this month.

Giovanna, 35, beat BBC Radio 1 DJ Jordan North and Bolton TV star Vernon Kay to the title after just under three weeks in camp at Gwrych Castle, in north Wales.

Posting on Instagram, the mum-of-three says appearing in I'm A Celeb was a "career highlight" after 'insiders' claimed to media outlets that she had been left 'overwhelmed' by the success.

Hitting back, Giovanna said alongside a selfie: "Just seen an article in a magazine with 'an insider' who says I regret winning the show....

"I'm not sure who 'the insider' was but it’s clearly someone I haven't spoken to.

"I can categorically say that being part of @imacelebrity was a career highlight and I'm so grateful for the love that has been thrown my way in the last few weeks.

"I'm blown away and not regretful in the slightest. As a mother I'll always be juggling family life and work - but I’m also very excited about what the future holds."

She ended the post: "No negativity, no regrets - just full on positivity and love."

Giovanna has been inundated with supportive messages from her 1.9m followers.

"And this is why you are Queen," one simply wrote.

Another said: "Good for you!!! You are amazing!!"

"And that's why you won because you are a lovely person inside and out, you are so genuine," a third praised.

A fourth added: "You are a deserving and lovely winner."
