I'm A Celebrity's first ever winner Tony Blackburn on why he's backing Richard Madeley for King of the Castle

I'm A Celebrity 2002 winner Tony Blackburn predicts Richard Madeley will be crowned King of the Castle this year.

The 'original King of the Jungle' appeared on ITV's Good Morning Britain this morning on Monday, November, 22 to give his predictions on this year's campmates.

Asked by host Susanna Reid who was his favourite, the disc jockey said: "Richard of course, I'm tipping him to win because I know Richard and he's lovely."

"David, as well, my wife says he will appeal to ladies of a certain age and rightly so, he's the silver fox in there and he's got a really good sense of humour - I think he is handling it very well so far."

"It's very difficult to tell on the first episode, Arlene Phillips is a toughy as well, she said that she's going to dance through it and I don't think so" he laughed.

Tony added: "I love the fact that we've got a character called Naughty Boy."

Richard is best known for being one half of presenting duo Richard and Judy alongside his wife Judy Finnigan.

I'm A Celeb viewers saw Richard Madeley take on Frankie Bridge in last night's episode as the pair were voted to face the first challenge of the series.

Saturdays singer Frankie beat TV presenter Richard in their trial after the duo were the last to enter the show last night.

As he commented on how hard the Turrets of Terror trial was, Ant joked that “Judy must do all the DIY in their house.”

Meanwhile Danny Miller was left fear-stricken after being voted for him to take on the gruesome eating challenge which will air during tonight's episode.
