I'm A Celebrity's Dingo Dollar phone box arrives in Wales as Gwrych Castle transformed

I'm A Celebrity 's Dingo Dollar Challenge phone box has been delivered all the way from Australia to Wales.

As Gwrych Castle is transformed into the site of this year's series, the famous phone box has been flown in.

Of course, the daily challenge, which gives campmates a chance to win treats, may have to be renamed now that the show has moved out of Australia.

It's only seeing the red telephone box out of its usual environment that you notice how battered it looks.

The paint is faded and worn and a number of the windows are smashed.

On the show, celebs are often seen racing to answer the phone when Kiosk Kev phones up with a 50-50 question for them.

Each day, two stars are set a challenge outside of the camp and if they succeed, they can choose between two treats for the camp, but they'll only be able to take it back if the others answer the question correctly.

It's also been an Australian man in charge of the kiosk, but that could change this year along with the setting of the show.

It's being held in Wales for the first time ever after the coronavirus pandemic made hosting it in Australia unfeesable.

Preparations for the show seem to be going ahead full-steam, although it's been reported by the Sunday Mirror that bosses have been having urgent talks about the series over fears that changing lockdown rules could make it impossible.

A source said: "There are fears on set about a national lockdown if cases and deaths continue to rise.

"It has been a huge concern to the casting team as well as producers.

"The possibility of postponing the series and rescheduling to early next year was given due consideration.

"But rescheduling isn’t a viable option as the casting involves set dates in contracts for talent.

"A contingency plan is being put into place but it’s unlikely they will be able to postpone to 2021.

"In the worst-case scenario this year’s series will have to be cancelled."
