I'm A Celebrity's Danny Miller finally has welcome home party after plans ruined by Covid

Danny Miller has finally had his welcome home party, well over two weeks on from his I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here win after plans were ruined by Covid.

The Emmerdale star and last minute favourite to triumph lived up to bookies' predictions by triumphing over Frankie Bridge and runner up Simon Gregson to become the ITV show's first ever King of the Castle.

Danny, best known to millions of soap fans, for playing Aaron Dingle, beat nearest rival Simon by 10 per cent and looked in shock as hosts Ant and Dec called him as winner.

In the aftermath of his I'm A Celebrity win, Danny had an emotional on-screen reunion with fiancee Steph and baby son Albert on Lorraine, before the family's celebrations were thwarted by Steph testing positive for coronavirus.

But, having been out of isolation so they could spend Christmas with family at plush Manchester restaurant The Refuge, Danny and Steph's festive partying continued with his homecoming bash at The Buxton Inn in Cheshire.

Posting a picture of him and Steph at the party, Danny wrote: "So @stephjones1710 and the family organised a welcome home party we finally got round to tonight at our good friends pub @thebuxtoninngx and I couldn’t be happier!

"Thanks once again to everyone who made this happen!!"

Friend and ex Coronation Street star Brooke Vincent was swift to react, replying: "Well done my friend," with one of Danny's many followers writing: "Beautiful picture wishing u the very best for ur future and for ur beautiful family."

Steph posted a similar picture of the couple along with the caption: " Welcome home Danny. Celebrating the king!"
