I'm A Celebrity's Chris Moyles weight loss as star opens up on six stone shedding

Radio and TV presented Chris Moyles has I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here! viewers with his dramatic weight loss.

The former Radio 1 DJ weighed 18.2 stone at his heaviest but has since managed to shed an incredible six stone. And now he has shared his health story with fellow camp mates in the jungle.

When asked by Loose Women's Charlene White, the 48-year-old explained that he managed to turn his whole life around, reports Wales Online.

Chris told his campmates: “I once bought a microwavable kebab. From what I remember it tasted alright. But back then I was eating all sorts of crap. I didn’t necessarily eat a lot but what I did eat was all bad. All bad.”

And the DJ went on to explain how he managed to keep motivated throughout his journey. "A mixture of things. I climbed Kili [Mount Kilimanjaro in 2009]. I was 17.5 stone at Christmas and we were climbing in March. I got down to 16 [before we went]. Climbed Kili and lost a stone in a week.

"I sat at 15 [stone] for ages and I had a trainer, and one day I just went, 'It’s a waste of time this training, I’m not losing any weight' and he just barked at me, 'That’s because your diet’s s***!' So we had a big chat… I fell down to 12 stone really quickly. 10 years ago [that was]." He explained.

Back in 2017, there was speculation over how Moyles managed to shift the huge amount of weight. Chris himself shared a tell-app post on Facebook at the time, blasting a number of publications for printing mis-information about this diet and routine after some cited that he was using diet pills to lose pounds.

He said: "The most disturbing inaccuracy was this; 'He uses a popular natural supplement called Slimfy three times a day to raise his energy levels...' Total and utter b******s. I have never even heard of this product, let alone used it. I don't want people reading this and thinking that's how I lost weight. So here, from my tiny mouth, is the truth. I stopped buying bread. Dramatically cut my lager intake. Started eating better food and less crap. Trained regularly. That's it."

During lockdown, Christ appeared on Ross Kemp's podcast 'The Kempcast' to give some insight into not only his career but his major weight transformation. He explained that his body and wheat don't get on, leading him to avoiding bread for "years".
