I'm A Celebrity's Charlotte Crosby and Tom Williams had a fiery clash while Tom was still in camp - but the Australian TV star is trying to clear up just why they butted heads.
They fought only two days into the Australian version of the show after Tom suggested that Charlotte only wanted to "party."
Now that he's been given the boot from the jungle, he dished on KIIS FM's Kyle and Jackie O Show that he reckons they were both on edge for want of things they weren't used to doing without.
"Our encounter was quite early on," Tom recalled.
He added: "It was probably at that time where everyone was seriously detoxing from everything in life.
"And she called me out, and that's fine, you know? Maybe I sort of let my guard slip a little bit."
Despite the encounter, Tom sang Charlotte's praises and wished her well.
"She's a real go-getter and a real good kid," he continued, "I was happy to appease what she wanted me to do."
Mirror Online has contacted representatives for both Tom and Charlotte for comment.
Charlotte was announced for I'm A Celebrity Australia - which takes place in the South African jungle - earlier this month, shortly after her split from long time boyfriend Josh Ritchie.
Taking to Twitter, the star penned: "Wondered why I've been quiet?!?! I'M ONLY GOING IN THE GOD DAM SOUTH AFRICAN JUNGLE for @ImACelebAu.
"Finally my dreams have come true and I don't have to photoshop my head on the English line-up anymore. See you soon my jungle buddies."
In an announcement video, she laughed: "South Africa. That was a good trip. I've really got to go back there. I'm newly single now and got so much time on my hands.
"Jan 5th sounds like a really good day to go on. I'm going to book my flights."
She's also seen an up and down romance with campmate Ryan Gallagher.
