I'm A Celebrity's Boy George confronted by campmates after 'stealing' food

I'm A Celebrity 's Boy George was caught out during Tuesday night's episode of the ITV series, and was accused of "stealing food".

After the singer secretly ate extra portions and ate a banana, having already had one, his campmates called him out.

Owen Warner and Jill Scott discovered he'd taken extra food, despite his attempts to conceal his actions.

Boy George was soon left awkward when Hollyoaks star Owen confronted him about it, before calling him out - accusing him of stealing food.

In the Bush Telegraph, the campmate had admitted: "I had a banana last night and then obviously Sue left this morning and there was an extra one, so I took it and I ate it and I hid the skin in my pocket so I wouldn’t get caught. Ha ha ha!"

Soon enough the missing banana drama erupted when Owen confronted him about eating the fruit last night, with him also seen eating one that morning.

Owen asked: "You had one last night and one this morning?" to which Boy George responded: "Mmm, I thought it was Sue’s."

As Owen made the point: "Without asking?", Boy George hit back saying: "Says the man who has had more food than anyone in this camp."

Owen went back though, saying: "Could have asked first though."

He added in the Bush Telegraph: "So last night the bananas we got for dessert we saved for breakfast this morning.

"There was 9. There’s one short. George confesses, he’s had Sue’s banana. Don’t steal food from me!"

Boy George didn't take it all that seriously though, and turned the drama into a song in camp, singing: "Oh yes, I had two bananas, two bananas today…"

The campmates playfully scolded him with Jill calling him a "naughty boy", and Seann Walsh saying: "You’re a disgrace, an absolute disgrace. There is no justification for your actions."

It comes as Sue Cleaver became the third campmate to be voted out of the jungle on Monday night.

The Coronation Street star confessed she'd "had enough" and it was her time to leave, as she screamed with excitement when her name was called.

This followed TV presenter Scarlette Douglas breaking down in tears on Sunday, as she was second to be booted out of the jungle.

As she joined hosts Ant and Dec, she admitted she was gutted to be leaving so soon, as others were keen to go.

Meanwhile, the first elimination of the series saw Charlene White first to go on Friday night.

Following her exit, Charlene explained how Matt Hancock going into the jungle ruined it for her - as she was always concerned about her impartiality as a journalist as that is her primary job.

Earlier on in the series, Olivia Attwood was the first 2022 campmate to leave the show just days into it launching, after she was forced to withdraw.

The Love Island star was left "gutted" when she learned she could not return to the camp, after being removed due to concerning results from a health test in camp.

After being taken to A&E, Olivia was advised she would not be able to return with more tests needing to be done, while she has since confirmed she is fine and healthy.

I'm A Celebrity airs every night at 9pm on ITV and ITVX.
