I'm a Celebrity's Ant McPartlin's brutal response during Sue Cleaver challenge

A sharp quip from Ant McPartlin had I'm a Celebrity fans chuckling during the celebrities' latest challenge in the Australian jungle. It came as Coronation Street star Sue Cleaver was chosen to be the 'phone a friend' of Matt Hancock and Hollyoaks' Owen Warner in a Who Wants To Be A Millionaire-inspired trial.

Sue was asked 'which of these happened first?' - and when 'Coronation Street first aired' was one of the options, reports the Manchester Evening News. But it was after Sue turned to Ant and Dec for support when Dec came out with a blunt one-liner.

"Oh, please don't humiliate me on TV," Sue said. But Ant said: "Well, don't come on I'm A Celebrity then Sue!" Fans of the ITV programme were in stitches at his brutal response. @WheatLowe repeated the exchange with laughing and applause emojis. "Sue-'Don’t humiliate me on live TV!' Ant-'well don’t come on I’m a Celebrity!'"

@lottiemcquillan tweeted: "'Well don’t come on I’m a Celebrity then Sue' ANT GETTING FIESTY." @graceeex__ said: "The sass from Ant and Dec this trial is killing me." And @AndyGibsonTV said: "Anthony McPartlin was no chill with the 'don't come on I'm A Celebrity then' to Sue Cleaver."

Sue, who plays grumpy Eileen Grimshaw in Corrie, got drenched in green gunge while she sat on the phone. Owen demanded: “Leave Sue alone!" and some fans thought Sue's brief cameo in the game Who Wants To Look Silly On Air? was a brilliant taster for her doing a full trial after seeing Matt voted to do the majority so far.

@RyanGSoapKing11 said: "Voting for Sue tonignt as I want to see her do a full trial." And @BRATTYBARBl wrote gleefully: "Sue needs to do a trial Omg! She’s gonna kick off."

Also taking to Twitter @wyschavicon said: "Shall be voting for queen sue xx" However at the end of Saturday night's episode, the news was delivered that Matt will take on yet another trial House of Horrors on Sunday night (September 13).
