I'm a Celebrity's Ant and Dec warned not to make jokes about one thing

I'm a Celebrity... returns to Gwyrch Castle in Wales this Sunday.

The last series of the ITV programme was also filmed in the UK , after the coronavirus pandemic forced producers to abandon plans to make the programme at its usual base in Australia.

Ant and Dec will return to present the show, and ahead of the new series the pair has been given strict instructions about the type of jokes they use.

Earlier this week the Geordie duo shared a photo of themselves stood outside the Welsh castle on their official Facebook page as they prepare to welcome the celebrities.

They captioned the photo: “We’re here! Just holding the fort until our celebs arrive #ImACeleb."

As they prepare to spend a few weeks in Wales, Ant and Dec have taken advice from Welsh language adviser, Garffild Lloyd Lewis on what they can and can't joke about, the Daily Express reports.

The hosts have been praised by Garffild with their pronunciations when attempting to use Welsh phrases live on air.

Garffild said: “Working alongside an English TV production has been amazing – they are really keen to learn about our culture, but more specifically our sense of humour."

However, he issued strict instructions on what they should steer clear of, adding: “We made it clear from the beginning that we would avoid all stereotypical humour of Wales and they completely respect that."

Garffild added they wanted to make sure the presenters showed the Welsh language "could be fun".

He told Wales Online: “We told Ant and Dec to just go for it but to have fun with it.

"It’s better to have fun with a language rather than make fun of it.
