I'm A Celebrity's Ant and Dec accused of 'torturing' star as they return to show

Ant and Dec have been accused of 'torturing' a former I'm A Celebrity star, almost two decades on from them setting foot in the jungle and as they prepare to return to screens on the show's new All Star run.

I'm A Celebrity has been one of the biggest shows on TV for over 20 years now, first launching in the summer of 2022, with Ant and Dec at the helm as radio DJ Tony Blackburn became the show's first ever winner. Since then, the likes of Kerry Katona, Matt Willis, Carol Thatcher, Vicky Pattison and Scarlett Moffatt have all followed in his footsteps and now, after Jill Scott's victory in Australia at the end of last year, the show is having a change of location for its new series.

I'm A Celebrity: All Stars was actually filmed before the regular series of the show last year, with hosts Ant and Dec jetting off to South Africa, to be joined by a host of famous faces, whose identities were kept under wraps until last month. They were officially revealed on Saturday Night Takeaway and one of them, alongside the likes of Carol Vorderman, Amir Khan and Helen Flanagan, was Paul Burrell.

Firmer butler to the late Princess Diana, Paul originally appeared in the fourth series of I'm A Celebrity in 2004, providing a very memorable moment when he made all sorts of weird noises, when asked by Ant and Dec to reach into the side of a cave to retrieve stars, during one of that series' Bushtucker Trials.

A clip of the challenge played out as Paul appeared as a guest on Lorraine on Friday, with him happy to admit he was 'the screaming butler.'

Confirming he is still very much scared of snakes and talking about Ant and Dec, Paul added: "Snakes - no, no, no! I don't do snakes and I knew what they'd do, those two spawned of the devil, Ant and Dec. They torture everyone!"

In agreement, Lorraine replied: "They do torture everyone, they know exactly what your weak spots are. We were all screaming with you!"
