I'm A Celebrity result has viewers torn as Ian Wright gets evicted

If there's been a contestant who's divided opinion more than any other on this year's I'm A Celebrity it's Ian Wright.

As soon as the lineup for I'm A Celebrity 2019 was confirmed, bookies had the football legend as their red hot favourite to win the show, well ahead of his nearest rivals.

But within just a few days of the ex-Arsenal striker going into the jungle, his odds to win drifted significantly, due to his moaning about a LOT of things in camp and clashes with Irish comedian Andrew Maxwell, which led to him being branded 'most hated campmate' on the outside.

Ian landed in the bottom two alongside James Haskell on Tuesday night and, after James got the boot then, 24 hours later it was time for Wrighty to pack his bags after finishing bottom of the latest public vote.

And plenty of viewers celebrated the result. One enthused "Whoop whoop he's finally gone," and in firm agreement another tweeted "James went yesterday, Ian today, the public have got it right, right, right!"

A third reacted "2 for 2!!! Bye Ian."

However, others came out in support of the former England forward, saying the last few days of the series would be boring without him.

One ranted "Iain and James were the only two that made the show interesting by not letting the entire camp just be friendly with eachother. They then get called bullies and voted off the show. Without them the show wasn't worth watching," and, echoing those sentiments, another Wrighty fan wrote "Ian may have been a pain in the a** but he was good to watch and a bit of craic. Feel the last few days will be dull."
