I'm A Celebrity: Louise Minchin on why she whispered message to Frankie Bridge upon exit

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of here! waved goodbye to former BBC Breakfast host Louise Minchin on Thursday night.

The news presenter became the latest contestant to leave Gwrych Castle, following Naughty Boy, Snoochie Shy, Kadeena Cox and Dame Arlene Phillips. You can see a full list of who is left in camp here.

Following her exit Louise spoke to Adil Ray and Kate Garraway on Good Morning Britain.

Speaking about being voted off, the 53-year-old said: "I feel really relieved and really happy, I loved my time in there but I'm so excited to be going home. I'm warm for the first time, I'd love to still be in there but I'm really happy to be out."

Louise was also asked who she wanted to win.

"I've been thinking about it overnight," Louise explained. "As I left I gave Frankie a hug and I said 'go on go and win it' because I would absolutely love her to do it. She's funny, she's strong, she gets involved in everything and she never complains or moans, I've absolutely loved spending time with her."

Former BBC presenter Louise Minchin made her first TV appearance since leaving the castle on ITV breakfast show Good Morning Britain (ITV)

It comes after many viewers questioned what Louise said to Frankie on last night's show.

"Did Louise just say to Frankie you'll win it?" asked one viewer, while another was more emotional and added: "Louise saying 'go win it' to Frankie" alongside a meme of someone tearing up.

As well as Frankie, who is the only female left in the competition, Louise is back another campmate to win.

She explained: "I'll be voting for Frankie, and I'll be voting for Simon.

"He brings light to that camp in a really subtle and sweet way and he's one of the most caring people in that camp. I had a difficult day yesterday and he was the person who noticed… he's a really generous spirit."

Louise was also asked what was next for her after she left BBC Breakfast in September after 20 years on the red sofa, with Kate even quizzing her on a role at GMB.

"You know what people are going to say," Kate said. "You're here on Good Morning Britain, you were adored on BBC Breakfast, everyone loved you there - are you thinking of making the move and should I get my coat?"

"To be fair I've had a good run," Kate joked as Adil burst out laughing.

"No! Don't get your coat!" Louise responded. "I've done those hours, I've got up at 3:40 in the morning for about 20 years, no! Keep your coats." You can read more on this here.

Good Morning Britain continues weekdays at 6am on ITV.
