The jungle drums are sounding out all manner of different names as the clock ticks down to the new series of I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here and the latest one has a strong Geordie connection.
Ant & Dec will be soon bringing I'm A Celebrity back to our screens for another run, an incredible 17 years after it made its debut on TV when Tony Blackburn was the first King of the Jungle.
A whole host of celebrities have been linked to the series so far with the including the likes of Girls Aloud star Nadine Coyle, football legend Ian Wright and Coronation Street actress Lucy Fallon.
And Lucy isn't the only soap star being tipped for a trip Down Under to the Australian jungle as Hollyoaks' Mercedes McQueen, aka Jennifer Metcalfe, has also been linked.
As well as being a regular fixture on our screens year now thanks to her starring role on the Channel 4 soap, Jennifer is also the girlfriend of former Geordie Shore star Greg Lake.
They have been together for nearly eight years no and have a son together.
TV insiders say 36-year-old Jennifer will will be a great fit for I'm A Celebrity, with a source telling The Sun "Jen is perfect for the jungle, she's really funny and attractive and she loves a challenge.
"She hasn't signed yet but bosses are really keen to get her on the show. She's been into ITV for meetings."
