I'm A Celebrity line-up rumours sees Line of Duty stars linked with new series

While discussion over the final episode of series 6 rumbles on, a host of Line of Duty stars have been linked with the next series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out of Here.

Sunday's finale has proved to be a huge bone of contention for many fans of the smash hit BBC crime drama, with many still refusing to believe that Ian Buckells could be H and others flat out condemning the last part as 'the worst TV ending ever.'

Line of Duty creator Jed Mercurio has since broken his silence to defend the show, tweeting: "We knew attempting to explore the real nature of corruption in our society wouldn't appeal to everyone, but we do sincerely thank you all for watching."

Someone else who was quick to speak out after the backlash to Sunday's final episode was Steve Arnott himself, actor Martin Compston, who posted: "We've truly been blown away by the reaction and love for the show, we're proud of it.

"Fully understand it wasn't the 'urgent exit' type ending some anticipated but we appreciate you sticking with us."

And it's Martin who is the top tip with bookmakers Betfair to swap AC-12 for I'm A Celebrity.

They have the Scottish actor, who also appeared in BBC thriller The Nest last year at 6/4 to be on the show with his co-stars odds Vicky McClure at 4/1, Adrian Dunbar at 6/1 and Kelly McDonald at 10/1 just ahead of Anna Maxwell-Martin.

Rounding out the betting is Ian Buckells off-screen alias Nigel Boyle on 16/1.

While Ant and Dec admit that the location for I'm A Celebrity 2021 is 'still up in the air,' other stars linked to it early doors include Peter Crouch, Nick Grimshaw, Tommy Fury, Kelly Brook and Dani Dyer.

The Line of Duty cast have also been linked to Strictly, with Vicky the top pick for that with Betfair, closely followed by Kelly.
