I'm A Celebrity launches early savage twist as public voting opens NOW

I'm A Celebrity bosses are not hanging around - they want to start making life hell for contestants almost a week before the show starts!

The brutal twists have already begun long before the stars set foot in the jungle.

Public voting is already open - and you can make it a welcome to remember or a start full of misery, ITV have announced.

They will make some of the celebs Jungle VIPS while the rest will surely be surviving on scraps in the first few hours after the cameras roll.

There's no details yet about how long the star-studded start to life in Australia will last for.

The celebs are currently in isolation for seven days before the series starts to help reduce any risk of covid on set.

But opening voting up on the app, we will get an early heads up about the stars those watching at home will be happy to see suffer!

ITV confirmed: "Voting is now open via the official app for you to vote for who you want to become Jungle VIPs in I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here!"

The show kicks off on ITV on November 6 featuring stars like singer Boy George, DJ Chris Moyles and former Love Island contestant Olivia Attwood.

The Culture Club singer, whose full name is George Alan O’Dowd, is reportedly earning a £500,000 appearance fee.

Telly insiders said the bumper pay packet tempted him Down Under – and put him ahead of US reality star Caitlyn Jenner, 73, as top earner in the show’s 20-year history.

"It's been a long time since we had a huge global star film the show and he will no doubt draw viewers," a source told MailOnline.

"He's a national treasure and we have no doubt viewers will make him king of jungle."

It's fair to say they will need a bit of support down under - there are set to see more bugs than ever in the jungle.

They are likely to encounter cockroaches, mosquitos and giant spiders even before they start the show.

The country's third consecutive La Nina weather event is continuing at the moment, which increases the chance of above average rainfall for northern and eastern Australia during spring and summer.

The other campmates include Corrie legend Sue Cleaver, 59, Lioness Jill Scott, 35, and ex-rugby ace Mike Tindall.

The new series of I'm a Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! starts next Sunday (November 6) on ITV and ITV Hub from 9pm.
