I’m a Celebrity: Jordan North fans accuse viewers of ‘bullying’ radio 1 DJ in trial votes

Jordan North fans have asked I’m a Celebrity viewers to take pity on the Radio 1 DJ after he was voted to participate in another trial.

Appearing on the 20th series of the hit ITV reality competition, North has been made to undertake every trial to have been put to a public vote so far.

The sole exception occurred last night (Wednesday, 18 November), when Russell Watson and Ruthie Henshall were automatically chosen, by virtue of being the camp’s newcomers.

It was then revealed, however, that North would be made to undertake a challenge called “Trap Door” all by himself.

Fans voiced their objection to the decision on social media, with many suggesting that North, who often reacts visibly distressed before and during the trials, should be given a break.

“For gods sake, leave Jordan alone! sick bullies picking on someone for showing there weaknesses, it’s really not funny,” wrote someone on Twitter.

“Love the show,” wrote someone else, "but every year the same, pick on same person, just because he is scared.

“Pick someone else, they might be just as scared and entertaining, but just hiding it,” they added.

Another wrote: “This is pure bullying someone, singling them out and continuously picking on them. Shame on you ITV.”

“It is a bullying mentality,” noted a reply.
